Project Description
To alleviate traffic congestion and delays along Wilson Street, Brewer's main thoroughfare, which runs through an area that is both residential and highly commercial.

We increased traffic capacity and streamlined flow by:
  1. 1. Widening the road to create a 2,500-ft., five-lane section
  2. 2. Creating left-turn-only capability
  3. 3. Focusing on safe access management in areas involving many and varied entrances onto Wilson Street
  4. 4. Improving intersections by
    • Adding opposing turning lanes
    • Redesigning corner radius
    • Upgrading overhead signage
    • Making major traffic signal modifications
