The original 1960’s building was once a strip mall housing YMCA, Wholesale Depot, IGA and various small retail stores. Eastern Maine Healthcare turned to Ames Associates to convert the nearly vacant building into a diverse selection of healthcare related suites. A new two-story attached facility was added for specific tenant use. Ames Associates completely redesigned the circulation of the eight-acre parking lot to reduce potential pedestrian-vehicular conflict due to increased traffic from the new facility. Considerations included patient vehicular pick-up/drop-off and parking public bus transportation access, and staff parking.
