Engineering design and permitting services for a newly renovated Outpatient Imaging Center located within the existing Eastern Maine Healthcare Mall on Union Street in Bangor.

We provided Survey, Engineering and Permitting Services including: City of Bangor Land Development Permit, Maine Department of Transportation Traffic Permit, Maine Department of Environmental Protection Stormwater permit and site construction observation.
Size
The project included a new 121 space parking area with Ambulance parking and a Mobile MRI unit parking space.

Features of Interest
Because the project is located within the Birch Stream watershed (listed by Maine DEP as a Watershed Most At risk from development) it required Stormwater treatment above normal standards. The project includes a bio-retention basin and a filtration basin that collects more than 95% of the runoff from the new impervious areas of the site. Another main objective of the project was to divert the roof runoff from the existing building to prevent water intrusion to the foundation.
